Xiaoteng is a Battery Systems Architect responsible for Novele’s battery system architecture, including electrical & electronics design.

Before joining Novele, Xiaoteng was a Senior Staff Reliability Engineer at Navitas Semiconductors, developing advanced research platforms for wide-bandgap semiconductors and ICs. Xiaoteng ensured these systems, including associated micro-circuits, met strict automotive industry requirements.

Previously, he worked at Faraday Future and Karma Automotive as a Lead Engineer, with a focus on full life cycle development. In those roles he led the EE architecture design and development for state-of-the-art powertrain ECUs, battery management systems, and ultra high-power traction inverters – from scratch.

Xiaoteng holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Huazhong Science and Technology University (Honors Class) and a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ohio State University. He is fluent in English & Mandarin and has a strong command of Japanese.
