Novele strengthens leadership team with an expert in energy and technology innovation

NEW YORK, NY, September 16, 2024 — Novele is pleased to announce the appointment of Geng Niu, PhD, as Chief Technology Officer. In his new role, Dr. Niu will oversee the development and implementation of Novele’s cutting-edge hardware and software technologies, including EnergyBoard installations and services, and drive the company’s future technological innovations.

Dr. Niu joins Novele from Faraday Future, where he served as the Global Senior Director of EV Propulsion. There, he led a global team of talented engineers responsible for developing the FF91 powertrain, overseeing homologation, and launching this innovative, from-scratch design to market. Before joining Faraday, Dr. Niu was the Global Director of eDrive and Power Electronics at Karma Automotive. Earlier in his career, he developed control algorithms for E-motor control software at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development North America. He has an MS and PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology.
